BITTER SEED Session 1 - A Webinar on the Artisanal Coffee Farmers' Reality in Guatemala
Session 1: Friday, November 19, 2021 - 9am PST

Byron Cap, founder of Guatemalan coffee company KAPEH CHIALLI, has partnered with the Northern Nevada International Center to explain the struggles and rewards artisans face while competing with big coffee corporations in Guatemala. This virtual event will take place on November 19th, 2021. Two sessions are available, and registration is free.

*Registrants will receive a free one-pound bag of KAPEH CHIALLI coffee beans!

Viewers will learn about Guatemalan places of interest, community happenings, the culture of the Mayas, and the Guatemalan coffee industry through the lens of small farmers. Byron will join viewers live from Tactic, Guatemala.

During the presentation, viewers will see first hand how Byron processes coffee, including picking, roasting, and hand-grinding coffee beans.

Join us in celebrating coffee the way that Byron’s Mayan ancestors used to do so!
